Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated electrical engineer with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing electrical calibration methods and procedures, analyzing measurement systems, and identifying error sources. They should be capable of recommending and implementing minor changes to calibration processes and systems to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Metrology operations. The role also includes managing smaller projects and task-related activities with moderate supervision, as well as providing support to junior professionals in the calibration and repair of test equipment and systems.
What You will Do
Providing technical support to calibration technicians in precision electrical measurement, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of test equipment, including power supplies, frequency counters, microwave devices, and digital systems.
Collaborating with engineering, operations, and management teams to enhance test equipment configuration, improve quality, ensure repeatability, and maintain measurement traceability.
Developing comprehensive written calibration procedures, laboratory methods, processes, and expanding capabilities to meet operational needs.
Designing and implementing automated calibration procedures using various programming languages tailored for measurement and test equipment.
Conducting and documenting uncertainty analyses to ensure calibration procedures meet required standards.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with electrical schematics.
The ability to obtain and maintain clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in Metrology calibrations and/or electronic repair.
A basic understanding and practical application of ISO 17025:2017 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 standards.
A minimum of 3 years of technical or engineering experience in a design, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
Foundational knowledge of radio frequency (RF) and microwave measurement principles.
A basic understanding of uncertainty analysis and statistical process control.
Familiarity with calibration quality standards and their implementation.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
