Job Summary
This Director leads the long range portfolio strategy, audience and category insights development, and annual strategic planning framework for the full partnership ecosystem. This role ensures that partnership decisions are grounded in data, aligned to business needs, and focused on driving consumer impact. The Director serves as a strategic architect across property evaluation, category opportunity identification, and national planning cycles, and partners closely with the Executive Director to establish strategic priorities that guide the entire organization.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Lead long‑range portfolio planning across national and local partnerships, developing frameworks that guide annual strategy and investment.
- Own audience, demographic, and category insight development; translate insights into actionable strategic priorities.
- Direct annual planning processes, aligning partnership strategy to seasonality, product priorities, and business cycles.
- Evaluate new and existing partnership opportunities using data‑driven models, including category analysis and impact modeling.
- Drive shared partner strategy development, including cross‑property alignment such as Samsung x Team USA and Google Pixel x NBA.
- Partner with Product, Media, and Growth teams to ensure strategic integration of partnerships across GTM plans.
- Oversee deal impact and customer impact measurement frameworks, partnering with analytics counterparts.
- Collaborate with the Director of Integration to ensure portfolio planning aligns to enterprise GTM needs.
- Create strategic narratives, POVs, and executive‑ready recommendations that influence partnership direction.
- Serve as strategic lead for emerging category‑based opportunities, advising leadership on trends and whitespace.
- Mentor and develop Strategy team members; provide direction for Sr. Manager and Specialist resources.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
