More About the Role:
The Defense Group of Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator to support efforts for the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract located in Guam.
NGEN-R SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy, by delivering the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net); inclusive of cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Responsible for operating and maintaining ONE-Net server and network infrastructure. This includes responding appropriately to alerts and events and responding to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate. Conduct infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services. Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures. Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Remotely manage distributed servers, switches, and workstations within each local site by a central location where possible.
•Coordinate all maintenance and restoration activities of remote servers with the TNOSC and LNSC leadership as well as Site Lead.
•Coordinate across all ONE-Net regions on operational initiatives that require cross-regional tasking.
•Respond to all escalated service requests and trouble tickets delivered through the Service Desk.
•Ensure the escalation of incidents and problems are assigned to the appropriate LNSC personnel.
•Maintain records of daily activities, problems and remedial actions taken, and/or installation activities.
•Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures STIGS through manual configuration, installation of patches, or the application of scripts to protect data, software, and hardware.
•Participate in technical exchanges as required or tasked by LNSC leadership.
•Provide technical and operational input to Regional Change Review activities.
•Review existing documentation for the server, services, data storage operations, and maintenance processes and procedures, and provide recommendations for improvements/changes.
•Assist network and systems security personnel in IA incident response, including close coordination with the Theater and local IAM for all IA related tasks.
•Maintain all services within the configuration baselines and accurately configure and apply patches to all systems.
•Integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices.
•Perform system and database administration to ensure optimal network performance, maintain the network security posture, and minimize customer service interruptions.
•Provide network operational support, support on new technology, and implementation support for new solutions.
•Address and complete Customer Service Request (Move/Add/Changes) and Incident ticket within service level agreements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
•Ability to provide site support with team scheduling a 24/7/365 coverage base.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires BS and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2–6 years of prior relevant experience (in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field). Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•Must be a US Citizen and possess an active Secret Clearance.
•Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.).
•Possess a CCNP in Enterprise, Security, Cloud, or collaboration or possess a Microsoft Intermediate/role-based certification.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•ITIL Foundation v3 or v4.
•Remedy experience, Familiarity with IT processes, working with service desks, incident handling, problems, changes, assets and queue management.
•6 years of previous experience in the Information Technology field, and ability to work alongside a team.
•2-4 years active IT operational leadership experience.
•Microsoft 365 Certified, Azure Administrator Associate, Expert level is a plus.
•Additional experience and certifications in network administration (CCNA Routing and Switching or Higher) are desired.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
