Description:WHAT WE'RE DOINGThe RMS-Rotary SIOP organization is driving strategic planning excellence by delivering real-time visibility into our company’s long-range business posture. Using advanced simulations, we proactively identify risks and opportunities to support decision-making and ensure sustained success.
THE WORKAs a SIOP Demand Management Analyst for the Global Commercial Military Systems (GCMS) line of business, you will own the end to end demand planning process for production, sustainment, and ad hoc programs. Working closely with Program, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance partners, you will develop and maintain lifecycle forecasts, align demand inputs with SIOP governance, and identify and mitigate risks to ensure that every demand plan is complete, realistic, and risk aware.
Standard scope includes, but not limited to:
• Consolidate all demand signals—firm orders, forecasts, sustainment requirements, new program proposals, and MRO/repair orders—into a single, actionable demand plan.
• Work closely with Program Managers, Business Development, Sustainment/MRO, and Commercial Supply Chain teams to keep forecasts current and accurately reflected in SIOP.
• Build and maintain lifecycle demand models for GCMS products, covering new part introductions, spare part consumption, repair order demand, and end of life transitions.
• Enforce SIOP governance, ensuring all demand entries meet schedule, quality, and security (LMPI/ECI/CUI) standards.
• Identify, track, and resolve demand related risks, including un allocated inventory, excess stock, and spare part shortages, and drive appropriate corrective actions.
• Aggregate Long Range Planning and Sales Plan execution risks across the business, incorporating direct charging financial exposure and presenting clear visibility to senior leadership.
• Validate demand loads against full lead time requirements, ensuring SIOP simulation outputs align with both new part and repair order timelines.
• Partner with Production Master Scheduling and MRO Planning teams to align production plans with major factory replanning activities.
• Lead early stage SIOP reviews to assess supportability, maintainability, and MRO cost impact before demand is created.
• Capture risk and opportunity data throughout execution and feed those insights back into the demand planning process, including inventory surplus/shortage analytics.
• Manage gap closure actions, risk tracking, and escalations to keep the demand pipeline healthy.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting, applying advanced analytics and automation in partnership with production and sustainment owners.
• Oversee Business Area financial risk analysis and chair the GCMS decision forum, with direct charging authority for spend and cost avoidance initiatives.
• Coordinate cross functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management, to execute the SIOP process successfully.
