This role requires a strategic thinker with technical expertise in data platforms, a foundation in human-centered design, and a strong product mindset with the proven ability to prioritize and deliver high-impact, measurable platform capabilities. You will be accountable for ensuring that the enterprise data platform meets the needs of both technical and business users, enabling self-service, governance, and innovation at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive a compelling product vision and strategy for Capital Group’s data platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise goals, and evolving data needs
- Own and evolve the roadmap for enterprise data products and services that enable scalable, secure, and efficient data product development
- Partner closely with engineering, design, data teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact and measurable solutions leveraging industry best practices, emerging trends, and platform thinking to align priorities and investments
- Translate complex technical requirements and architectural requirements into clear product strategies, priorities and delivery plans that balance long-term platform health with near-term business value
- Apply human-centered design methodologies to deeply understand the needs of data producers, data consumers, and data governance stakeholders, including developers and data practitioners who rely on the platform to build, test, and scale data products efficiently
- Collaborate with design and research teams to deliver cohesive, frictionless platform experiences that prioritize usability, discoverability, and developer experience, lowering the barrier to adoption while maintaining trust, quality, and compliance
- Oversee end-to-end platform product development, from discovery and ideation through launch, measurement, and continuous iteration
- Establish and track meaningful success metrics to evaluate platform performance, adoption, and outcomes – including indicators of developer productivity and platform usability - and use insights to inform product decisions and roadmap evaluation
- Manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to ensure timely delivery of high-quality platform capabilities in a complex enterprise environment
- Drive cross-team alignment and transparency through clear communication and documentation
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and product excellence
- Champion future-ready thinking, including awareness of how emerging capabilities such as AI, automation, and advanced analytics may influence platform evolution, governance models, and user experiences over time
“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.”
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years managing and/or mentoring product managers
- Proven success in technical platform product management - particularly within enterprise data or infrastructure platforms - driving strategy, roadmaps, and impactful delivery from concept to launch
- Demonstrated expertise in human-centered design, product discovery, and outcome-driven delivery with a strong ability to balance user needs – including developer and data practitioner needs - technical constraints, and business priorities
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing across functions and levels in a large organization
- Experience working in agile and product-led operating models, delivering iterative value while supporting long-term platform sustainability
- AI-curious and future-oriented mindset: familiarity with modern data and analytics ecosystems, awareness of AI and machine-learning concepts, and interest in how data platforms can responsibly enable emerging AI-powered capabilities
