Hardware Supply Chain Project Manager
What does a successful Hardware Supply Chain Project Manager do?
You will join a global team at Fiserv focused on expanding hardware distribution into new markets, delivering secure and reliable devices and accessories that support our payments and commerce solutions. The team manages end-to-end hardware lifecycle activities—from supplier onboarding and manufacturing coordination to local logistics and field quality—to ensure successful market launches and sustained operations.
What you will do:
- Lead supply chain planning for devices and accessories in target markets to maintain inventory availability and support market launches.
- Coordinate with factories, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to manage New Product Introduction (NPI) timelines, component sourcing, and production readiness.
- Manage third-party logistics providers and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery, customs clearance, and warehouse inbound operations.
- Analyze field quality cases and warranty data, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions with manufacturing and service partners.
- Develop forecasting, S&OP inputs, and inventory optimization strategies to balance service levels and working capital.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives across logistics, repair, and fulfilment processes.
- Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve operational incidents (e.g., delivery delays, forwarder incidents, supply disruptions) and communicate mitigation plans to stakeholders.

What you will need to have:
- 6+ years in hardware supply chain, NPI, and supplier/manufacturing coordination.
- 5+ years in international logistics, 3PL/forwarder management, customs, and freight operations.
- 5+ years in demand forecasting, inventory planning, and S&OP (Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, Anaplan).
- 4+ years in reverse logistics, RMA, repair operations, and warranty management.
- 4+ years with quality systems, root cause analysis, CAPA; familiar with ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma.
- 4+ years with ERP/SCM platforms (SAP ECC/S4HANA, Oracle SCM) and data analysis tools (SQL, Excel (Power Query), Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience supporting local regulatory and market requirements in supply chain environments
- Proficient in Japanese language, both spoken and written.
What would be great to have:
- APICS (CPIM/CSCP), PMP, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience launching payment terminals or POS hardware in Japan/APAC.
- Skilled in negotiating contracts with logistics and repair partners.
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management.
- Experience with cost-to-serve analysis and inventory reduction programs.
