Software Development Engineer
What does a successful Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv?
A successful Software Development Engineer at Fiserv will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
What you'll do:
- Lead detailed QA testing for complex software products, ensuring reliable performance and release readiness.
- Define and execute test strategies, plans, and coverage (manual and automated as applicable) aligned to requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, including verification of fixes and regression testing.
- Partner with development and product teams to strengthen quality practices and drive continuous improvement across the QA process.
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote adherence to QA best practices; responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of software development experience (or 6+ years of an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience).
- 3+ years of experience in both programming in Java, C, C#, C++, or similar languages and RDBMS and NoSQL databases and with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, and working in Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or 6+ years of an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience).
What would be nice to have:
- Experience in the financial services industry
Salary Range
$110,000.00 - $186,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
