Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Loader to join our dynamic warehouse team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading goods, ensuring materials are handled safely and accurately. Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders.
- Assist with order picking tasks, including picker operations, to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Safely handle materials during shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Use crane or heavy equipment as needed for larger or bulk items, maintaining mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following OSHA standards to promote safety for all team members.
- Support warehouse supervisor in inventory management, stock rotation, and cycle counts as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics roles.
- Familiarity with order picker equipment, forklift operation, crane use, and pallet jacks.
- Strong understanding of materials handling techniques and heavy lifting safety procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices for warehouse safety.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control.
- Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in fast-paced environments.
