THIS IS A THIRD SHIFT ROLE w/ SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
As a Material Handling Team Lead you will provide leadership to the material handling work areas and facilitate continuous improvement to reach PQVC goals by leading teams to safely and efficiently move material to ensure customer satisfaction.
Pay Rate and Schedule:
The position includes a total wage of $25.40 /hour plus a comprehensive Day-One Benefit program. Paid weekly. Paid time-off: Vacation, holiday, and Winter Holiday*. 401K matching AND additional 2-5% annual company contribution to retirement*.
Openings available on 3rd shift: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 p.m.- 06:00 a.m. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization. All initial communication and status updates will be via email. Updates begin at requisition closure date.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months intermediate computer usage for tracking and communications
Experience driving material handling equipment (i.e. counterbalance, turret, reach, picker)
3 months minimum experience using SAP / Mach 1 or similar
Work history or attached resume must be included

Job duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for putting safety first with a goal to prevent all injuries, occupational illnesses and safety incidents
Provide coverage for team members absences and/or production fluctuation to support material handling for PQVC goals
Lead daily production (PQVC), which may include updating daily & weekly metric white boards, providing input on schedule adjustments, adjusting manpower within material handling teams, and participating in daily production dialogs with team and management.
Coordinate and prioritize work to meet production schedules
Electronically and manually maintain documentation for labor hour records, process work order and production documentation
Work with support functions to identify and resolve issues related to safety, quality, process and delivery checks, as well as issues related to equipment, fixture, tool, process, quality, delivery and product/layout changes to ensure daily production schedules are met.
Take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems related to material handling, report discrepancies and recommend solutions
Coordinate continuous improvement to maintain and emphasize standard work by identifying, driving, and sustaining improvements.
Train and develop employees on job skills, problem solving and cross training. Provide recognition to employee contributions.
Support team People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC) initiatives and daily activities.
Work and interact effectively in a team environment in alignment with our Code of Conduct and Values in Action.
Complete projects Work with limited supervision
May provide input to employee reviews.
Participate on special projects as needed.
Top candidates will also have:
Prior heavy manufacturing group experience
Leadership experience
Strong understanding of lean principles, quality systems and production processes.
Ability to read standard work and write continuous improvement cards
Ability to utilize computer/scanner for material movement transactions
Ability to read standard work, prints, and write continuous improvement cards
Ability to utilize computer for production transactions, metric tracking, and communications
Strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to provide leadership and instruction to employees in a fast-paced production environment
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 35 lbs frequently
Work at multiple height
Climb on material handling equipment
Sit or stand for a majority of the 8 hour shift with minimal breaks
Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices
Kneel, squat, and crawl on knees
Work in awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting, and forward head and rotation of neck.
Work in tight spaces
Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, rotating
Use of fine motor skills
Work Environment
Limited exposure to welding fumes and noise levels of 85db or greater
Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists
Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures
Use of hand tools including band cutters and box cutter

Compensation: L03 (2WLP); $24.15/hour plus shift differential of $1.25/hour

Summary Pay Range:
$24.15 - $30.98
