As a Senior Mining Sales Representative, you will lead and manage dealer and customer relationships to market Caterpillar's mining products and services and assist in developing dealer sales capability. This role will be responsible for account coverage of mining clients and dealer territory coverage of Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico
What You Will Do:
You will be a commercial sales liaison among dealers, customers, and other Caterpillar personnel.
Responsible for driving annual revenue growth with new and existing accounts through targeted product specific - marketing plans, balancing market share and profitability while refining sales strategies.
Understanding of Caterpillar's business model and acting within the business process guidance on review and approval for variance programs and commercial actions.
Formulating and assisting dealers on forecasts, sales/rental/used strategy planning, and sales techniques; supporting the rollout of new products.
Performing regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensuring implementation of corrective actions where needed.
Leading the selling, opportunity identification, customer satisfaction improvement, and business relationship enhancement.
Support rollout of new products (e.g., products, parts, customer service agreements, and other service products).
Analyzes and communicates the marketplace and competitive activity to Caterpillar personnel and dealers.
Analyzes product application, configuration, and utilization that provide the best solution for a customer.
Assists dealers with business planning within the mining industry.
What Skills You Will Have:
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of mining, heavy equipment, or other enterprise commercial industry groups; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Negotiating: Extensive knowledge of Sales/Commercial Negotiation through concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner
Cross-functional collaboration: Using the ability to work across various sales, engineering, operations, and marketing teams to achieve commercial sales objectives.
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and the ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Experience working independently, communicating effectively, and influencing others in the workgroup, dealer personnel, and customers.
Relationship Management: Knowledge and ability of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Top Candidates will also have:
Experience with heavy equipment, products, and services.
Experience working in a dealer distribution model.
Experience with Mining and heavy construction customers.
Additional Information:
The location for this position is Tucson AZ, or Denver, CO.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position will require travel to dealer locations (50%) in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and New Mexico. A company vehicle is provided.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
