About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Learning and Development Consultant within Human Resources, supporting Talent Management and Learning. This role will partner with business leaders and teams to assess skill gaps and deliver targeted learning solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. The Consultant will apply a practical, enterprise-focused approach to needs assessment, coaching, and solution delivery for both individual contributors and managers.
In addition, this role will collaborate closely with instructional design partners to develop relevant curricula, exercise sound judgment when navigating operational and compliance requirements, and contribute to continuous process improvements within their scope of responsibility.
In this role, you will:- Provide consulting, coaching, and delivery as needed to individual contributors and managers related to the implementation of technical, functional, product skills, or relevant competencies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area.
- Review and analyze basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, exercise independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables.
- Use knowledge of development programs across a few business disciplines to articulate the interconnectivity and business impact of various learning solutions.
- Partner with instructional design team to develop curricula, courses and materials gathered from consultative needs assessments, learning participants, business opportunities, and needs of client groups.
- Provide direction and mentorship to other Learning and Development consultants.
- Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal, as well as external customers.
Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of Learning and Development Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:- Demonstrated expertise in the full learning lifecycle which includes, analysis, design, development, facilitation, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of financial services, preferably within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), Wealth & Investment Management (WIM), and/or regulatory expectations, such as FINRA, SEC, and firm-specific compliance guidelines, and how they influence training design.
- Demonstrated project management and consulting experience, being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, execution, and follow-up, is a core competency.
- Experience in coaching, developing, and mentoring employees.
- Experience identifying issues, analyzing data, and developing innovative solutions.
- Strong analytical mindset and the ability to think critically.
- Able to convey ideas clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, is critical. This includes active listening and the ability to ask insightful questions.
- Experience creating learning that drives behavioral change, knowledge retention, and performance improvement.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory or technical content into clear, learner-centered experiences.
- Proficiency with learning technologies such as LMS/LXPs, virtual training platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Building rapport and maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members is crucial.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, whether it's adjusting to new client needs or navigating unforeseen challenges.
- The ability to see the big picture and develop long-term strategies that align with the client's goals is key. This involves forward-thinking and planning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about the latest trends and advancements in your field is essential for maintaining expertise.
