About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an
Engineering Manager for Data and Analytics within the Fraud and Claims Technology organization. This role leads a high performing team responsible for building, modernizing, and operating enterprise scale data and analytics platforms that support critical decisioning and insight generation across the bank.
You will guide a team of data analysts and engineers, drive delivery of complex data initiatives, and partner closely with senior architects and product leaders to align strategy and execution. As a frontline manager, you will shape team performance, strengthen engineering practices, and enable the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality data solutions. In this role, you will:- Manage and develop team of data analysts with low to moderate complexity and risk in data management and technology, and engage stakeholders and internal partners
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Operate data environments, integrate with new technologies and oversee the development of new processes that support teams across the global organization
- Gather business requirements through direct interaction with software development teams
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of data management area to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for Technology functions with low to moderate complexity
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Data Engineering and Management
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:- 4+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Big Data experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:- Experience with Graph Database Neo4j or similar
- Strong technical background across: PySpark, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Ansible etc.)
- SQL & NoSQL databases (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Job Expectations:- Must be able to work onsite in one of the posted locations
Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
