Boeing Global Services Commercial Modifications Engineering is seeking an Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Design & Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join our team in Long Beach, CA.
We are looking for team members with knowledge of engineering principles in design, analysis, and certification, to contribute to the growth of the modifications sector of Boeing Long Beach.
As a part of the ECS team, you will be working on components and systems that directly affect the safety of airline passengers. You will also be an integral part of supporting modifications of all in-service Boeing Commercial Airplane models to meet our customers' needs. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate or Experienced Aircraft Environmental Control Systems Design & Analysis Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supports development and documentation of aircraft Environmental Control System analysis and architecture (air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, cargo fire protection, nitrogen generating system, ice/rain protection, etc.)
- Assesses complex system events to determine potential safety issues, utilizing airplane function integration at the system and component level
- Contributes to development of hardware, software, system performance requirements, part kit definition, analytical methods, and certification of various airplane system installations new and existing
- Works directly with airline customers and multiple, cross-functional teams to ensure effective system integration and customer satisfaction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
- 2+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in a multi-disciplined Systems Engineering environment
- Knowledge of Boeing design, certification, and engineering principles
- Ability to work with multiple team functions
- Experience with engineering disciplines related to aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis, including compressible/incompressible fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, physical chemistry, systems engineering, and/or computational fluid dynamics

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Associate: $90,950 - $123,050
Summary pay range for Experienced: $111,350 - $150,650
