Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to support a government contract supporting multi-sites (note this position will require travel within the US).
The Senior Construction Manager is accountable for the supervision, direction and monitoring of the day-to-day operation on-site ensuring all contractors are coordinated and working safely and effectively to the successfully complete objectives IAW global, US, USG, Company, Program, and PWS requirements.
POSITION SUMMARY
- Manage and have ownership of delivery of the site elements of the project to achieve or improve upon set objectives of time, cost, safety and quality.
- Managing the project IAW all global, US, USG, Program and PWS requirements and regulations.
- Managing and coordinating a workforce of multi-discipline tradesmen and subcontractors including the overall supervision of construction activities, planning and quality including employees and subcontractors.
- Regular and ad hoc management reporting on site activities to provide the leadership with visibility of progress and issues.
- Advises and consults with on-site construction team and subcontractors to set goals, audit, and progress performance to deliver the requirements of the project.
- Ensure exemplary HSE drive across all areas, focusing on high risk activities (including project risk based identified hazards / risks) and undertaking regular HSE inspections.
- Ensuring all changes are recorded and administered in accordance with the project change control process and leadership.
- Will act as primary point of contact for Construction / Project relating to all construction and construction-related activities at site.
- Travel to various construction sites including overnight / multi-nights as needed.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, Engineering field preferred with PE
- 10+ years construction and project-related experience
- Thorough knowledge of all engineering disciplines, construction technologies and job site management
- Significant site and construction experience in a similar role at a military base or USG installation
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
