THE WORK
As an Engineering Aide Sr, you will play a key role in driving process improvements and optimizing our manufacturing operations. You will work in close collaboration with the engineering and the operations team to work on a wide range of projects, from process development and implementation to equipment maintenance and repair. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of process changes and provide technical support and guidance to production staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
• Identifying and implementing process improvements and utilizing tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure seamless implementation of process changes
• Developing and maintaining detailed process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials
• Conducting experiments and trials to validate process improvements and ensure compatibility with existing equipment and systems
• Providing technical support and guidance to production staff, including training and mentoring as needed

We are seeking an Engineering Aide Sr. to join our team, focusing on process improvements and manufacturing equipment support for the cables, subassembly, and integration area. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing floor support, analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing improvements, and ensuring the highest level of efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Basic Qualifications:• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing assembly experience. Direct engineering/technician experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cables, subassembly, and cabinet manufacturing including equipment, materials, and quality control methods.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with crimpers, wire strippers, wire cutting equipment, and label equipment.
Desired Skills:• Ability to walk up and down stairs, as well as stand for long periods of time, in order to access and troubleshoot equipment on the production floor
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stretch in order to perform equipment maintenance and repairs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
• Associate's degree in Engineering technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as Creo or SolidWorks
• Experience programming and troubleshooting cable harness equipment
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and MIL-STD-130
• Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as Creo or
SolidWorks
• 5 years of experience assemblies harness cables, subassemblies, or cabinet assemblies

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
