Support mechanical and thermal design activities for SSD hardware programs under guidance of senior engineers Assist in documenting mechanical and thermal designs in internal hardware design and specification documents Create and update 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks or equivalent tools Support enclosure and component designs considering manufacturing method, cost, and volume requirements Participate in mechanical and thermal testing, including thermal characterization, shock, and vibration testing Support thermal simulations and help correlate simulation results with lab measurements Assist in evaluating thermal tradeoffs related to power levels and operating environments Contribute to DFM reviews, basic tolerance analysis, and design improvement activities Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (junior or senior preferred) Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with coursework or project experience in heat transfer or thermodynamics Interest in thermal management and mechanical design of electronic hardware Familiarity with engineering drawings and basic manufacturing concepts Exposure to thermal analysis, FEA, or CFD through coursework or projects is a plus Strong attention to detail with good documentation and reporting skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment
