Leidos seeks Configuration Management Specialist to support NASA’s Network and Telecommunications organizations.
Overview:
Provide proactive strategic management of IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes, policies, procedures, and configuration management system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves IT service management problems and situations associated with the configuration management system and the ITAM process and acquisition procedures. Applies expert IT service management knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Manages the process that identifies changes, and records/reports the implementation status of ITAM configuration items (CI).
Primary Responsibilities:
As a configuration management specialists perform change and/or configuration management roles.
Applies advanced knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
Provides configuration management planning. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
CRQ Management:
Manage change request process from initial request through closure.
Partner with service delivery management and engineering teams to ensure we are meeting customer expectations and SLAs.
Evaluate current business process with key stakeholders and potentially re-engineer to become more efficient and effective.
Support maintenance of the CMDB containing to support resource allocation, capacity planning, networks/system modeling, and other planning activities and ensure CM activities align with Agency CM directives while documenting all deviations in the NASA approved system of record. This includes configuration items (CIs), networking infrastructure CM data, and data collection and validation.
Document Management:
Working in an environment that is both internal and external supporting documents, including but not limited to, Local Operating Procedures (LOPs), Operational Directive Memorandums (ODMs), Interface Control Document (ICDs), Memorandums of Agreements (MOAs), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Mission Operations Interface Documents (MOIDs), Exemptions, Inter-Agency Agreements, Host Support Agreements (HSA), and Operational Support Plans while ensuring all documentation is provided within the SSP in the NASA approved system of record.
Provide CM and operations-related technical advisory support to the CCB process.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Successfully work with remote teams and in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate advanced analytical skills.
Problem analysis and resolution skills.
Experience with Configuration Management Plans.
US Citizenship is required and able to obtain at minimum Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid understanding of ITIL Best Practice and experienced in Service operations processes with particular focus on Incident with a good understanding of Problem and Event Management.
Experience in customer communication and presentations.
Proposed and implemented project/program improvements.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
