About The Role:
We are currently seeking a Safety Coordinator in Midland, Texas. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and promoting a strong safety culture at the service center. This role ensures compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry safety standards by coordinating training, conducting inspections, and assisting with incident investigations. The Safety Coordinator works closely with management and employees to reduce risk, prevent accidents, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Additional Information:
- Pay: Starts at 30.35/hr and can be adjusted for experience
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with opportunity for overtime as business demands
- This position does not offer sponsorship
- This position does not offer relocation
- This position requires 5 days onsite
- This position will have travel into the field
What You Will Do:
- Assists with the implementation of EHS programs in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate safety training sessions to promote awareness and safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate records of safety meetings, training, incidents, and inspections.
- Assist in investigating workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries; document findings and recommend preventive measures.
- Serve as the first point of contact for safety-related questions and provide guidance to employees and supervisors.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE).
What You Will Have:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a clean driving record, which generally means:
- No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.
- No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
- High school education or equivalent experience required
Top Candidates Will Have (not required, but preferred):
- H2S Certification
- Oil & Gas field experience
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Consistently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
Work Environment:
- Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
- Noise Level: Moderate
Summary Pay Range:
$30.35 - $40.65
