Key Responsibilities
Software Design & Development
Design, develop, and maintain software platforms and services that manage and automate data center network infrastructure
Build APIs, workflows, and user-facing tools that enable self-service provisioning and change management
Develop reliable, testable, and well-documented code following modern software engineering best practices
Participate in architecture and design reviews for network tooling and platforms
Network Automation & Platforms
Translate network design and operational requirements into scalable software solutions
Build and maintain automation for configuration management, validation, and deployment
Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code patterns for network systems
Integrate tooling with CI/CD pipelines and change control processes
Observability & Reliability
Build systems that improve network visibility, telemetry ingestion, and proactive alerting
Enable data-driven insights into performance, capacity, and failure domains
Partner with SRE and operations teams to improve MTTR and reduce incident recurrence
Ensure tools are resilient, scalable, and secure in production environments
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with network engineers to model network intent, topology, and policy in software
Collaborate with security teams to ensure tooling aligns with access controls and compliance requirements
Work with platform, cloud, and application teams to integrate network services into broader infrastructure ecosystems
Technical Leadership
Lead by example in code quality, system design, and operational ownership
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
Drive technical decisions that balance speed, reliability, and long-term maintainability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ to 7.5 years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or similar)
Experience building distributed systems, APIs, or internal developer platforms
Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, load balancing)
Experience with automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
Strong understanding of testing, code reviews, and production operations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building software for network automation or infrastructure platforms
Familiarity with data center networking technologies (EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, spine-leaf architectures)
Experience integrating with network devices, controllers, or vendor APIs
Knowledge of telemetry, time-series data, and monitoring systems
Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
Exposure to infrastructure security and access control models
