Ensure the environmental compliance of a project.
Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental risks for the company.
Develop and update environmental plans.
Conduct and supervise field inspections and monitoring (water, air, noise, vibration, soil).
Identify wetlands and environmentally sensitive areas requiring protection before work begins.
Monitor project data.
Track, anticipate, and communicate environmental costs at the project level.
Design and deliver environmental protection and awareness training for all staff.
Act as the lead technical advisor and coordinator for environmental matters.
Coordinate with relevant teams regarding their work locations, material needs, quantities, and invoices.
Interpret and implement environmental specifications and plans, avoiding and minimizing negative impacts on the environment and local communities.
Identify, document, report, and implement corrective actions for environmental incidents.
Participate in project audits (internal and external).
Prepare reports required by the project and Kiewit, and communicate environmental risks to project management.
Liaise with environmental agencies and participate in site visits with the client and regulatory bodies.
Liaise with clients. Provide clients with information related to design, schedule, quantities, etc., ensuring they are informed of any unforeseen discoveries, critical permits, and compliance issues.
Review requirements and prepare proposals and estimates for new contracts.
