Ensures the planning and execution of all activities for the platform are directly aligned with allocated budget and business commitments. Core Responsibilities
Lead AI research, discovery, and hands‑on development across Finance Automation and AI initiatives, translating emerging AI capabilities into scalable, production‑ready solutions that align with enterprise governance, compliance, and development standards.
Serve as a primary technical partner for Community‑Led Support, working directly with a broad and diverse set of finance users to identify automation opportunities, prototype AI‑enabled solutions, and drive adoption of Automation and AI tooling across finance functions.
Act as a representative of the Finance Technology Automation & AI team in cross‑functional forums, supporting center‑led initiatives and AI community engagement by contributing technical expertise, influencing standards, and ensuring alignment between business needs and platform capabilities.
Provide indirect technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, offering design guidance, code reviews, and best‑practice coaching while fostering strong engineering discipline, curiosity, and growth within the team.
- Represents the department as a primary technical point of contact for the functional systems and technology platform.
- Serves as a subject matter expert to answer questions/concerns about functional platform changes and capabilities as well as policies and procedures.
- Provides thorough review of technical solutions for the platform to ensure configuration/ development meet the business requirement specifications, designs and plans as well as ensuring a common understanding and agreement on deliverables.
- Preserves the integrity of the functional platform by reviewing potential downstream impacts of platform upgrades to ensure data integrity and functionality.
- Manages the relationship with business stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements for the platform.
- Conducts and documents requirements.
- Supports training initiatives to introduce new applications or new features in existing applications for the functional platform.
- Evaluates new vendor released functionality across the functional platform and performs gap analysis based on business needs and recommend new features.
- Works with quality assurance team to determine all necessary testing is accounted and documented.
- Provides feedback regarding best possible user experience for application users.
- Presents and supports functional and technical solutions.
- Ensures platform integrity and cutover readiness during technical deployments.
- Provides support for platform stability and aids with appropriate troubleshooting activities to collaboratively resolve problems and ensure high availability.
- Provides consistent, independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
