We are seeking a contractor to join the Infectious Disease and Vaccines department in the vaccines group. The overarching goal of the group is to test pre-clinical vaccine candidates in animal models to help advance our viral vaccine programs. The contractor will be responsible for running ELISAs, viral plaque reduction assays, serum neutralization assays, generating viral stocks, cell/tissue culture, managing internal, external shipments, sample inventory and overall laboratory support.
Contractor responsibilities:
- Run viral plaque reduction assays using tissue samples
- Run serum neutralization assays using viral clinical isolates
Required Education (Minimum degree required and Maximum degree accepted):
- minimum degree: BS/BA with 6 years; MS with 4 years; maximum degree: PhD with 1 year of experience
- Years of experience required for the role: At least 3 years performing laboratory research outside of degree.
- Required Skills: ELISA, virological assays, tissue/cell culture, assay development
- Preferred Skills: GraphPad Prism, Electronic lab notebook, data analysis
