The opportunity
We are seeking a talented Project Management Specialist to join our Program Management (PM) Function to work within the Program Management Office (PMO) team. Our PM Function supports all BDA programs, projects, and PM specialists across Australia. Our vision is to Engage, Enable and Educate in all areas related to program management people, processes, and tools. We are looking for a motivated individual to support our mission and work across a diverse range of tasks. As well as supporting and working within our team you will have the opportunity to gain exposure and build your professional network as we connect with stakeholders across the company.
This role is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support assurance activities such as Change Management reviews, system health checks, Program Management Best Practice self-assessments and Independent Reviews
- Development and implementation of project & program management processes, standards, policies and procedures
- Support program reviews on the Standard Gate Process
- Develop and support PM Functional Continuous Improvement projects
- Support PM Tools administration and application such as BORIS (risk, issues & opportunity management tool), JIRA/Confluence
- Support the delivery of internal project & program management training
- Actively respond and support help needed across the business and programs
Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years's experience in a Project Management role.
- Formal Project Management, Engineering, Business or Management qualifications is desired, however, prior experience will be considered.
- Experience working within a program of works / Project Management Office.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted industry project management standards.
- High level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Drive and passion to grow capability, mentor and coach other PM professionals.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
