Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a division of Nucor, the largest recycler, and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products in North America. Our West Hazleton, PA division is currently seeking applicants for Machine Operator openings on 2nd shift. Most positions in our plant require moderate to heavy lifting and can be physically demanding. We are looking for candidates who are willing to work 2nd shift with occasional mandatory overtime (subject to change) and are committed to a drug-free environment. Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Responsibilities for the Machine Operator include but are not limited to:

•         Perform the startup and shutdown procedures for the assigned production line area.

•         Perform all of the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, molding and all bench operations, as well as the inspection of them.

•         Perform basic preventative maintenance duties.

•         Report any malfunctions or abnormalities with equipment to the maintenance team.

•         Complete reports and answer inquires, as requested or assigned.

•         Accurately record all material usage.

•         Maintain cleanliness of the assigned production line area.

•         Comply with all company policies and procedures.

•         Perform all other duties, as assigned.
