Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager – Adobe Platform Services is a people leader responsible for the delivery, stability, and evolution of enterprise Adobe platforms, including AEM Sites, AEM Assets, Adobe Workfront, Adobe Target, and Adobe Cloud Services.
This role is being created to support organizational transformation and to rebalance leadership span of control as platform scope, delivery complexity, and globally distributed teams continue to scale. The manager will provide day‑to‑day leadership, technical delivery oversight, and operational rigor to ensure high‑quality outcomes, platform reliability, and alignment to strategic objectives.
What You Will Do:
People Leadership & Team Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and technical leads supporting Adobe platform development and operations.
Maintain sustainable span of control across distributed, multi‑location teams to ensure effective engagement, performance management, and career development.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Support onboarding, skill development, succession planning, and performance reviews.
Delivery & Execution
Own delivery outcomes across Adobe platform services, ensuring commitments are met with high quality and predictable execution.
Partner closely with Product Management, Architecture, QA, and Operations to plan, prioritize, and deliver platform enhancements and support work.
Balance feature delivery with platform stability, supportability, and technical debt reduction.
Ensure teams follow agile delivery practices and established engineering standards.
Platform & Operational Excellence
Oversee development and support for AEM Sites, Assets, Workfront, Target, and Adobe Cloud environments across development, test, and production.
Ensure operational readiness, incident response, and continuous improvement for platform services.
Drive standardization, automation, and best practices to improve reliability, scalability, and security.
Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders as needed to meet delivery and support objectives.
Strategic Alignment & Stakeholder Management
Translate organizational strategy into clear team priorities and execution plans.
Provide transparency into delivery health, risks, dependencies, and capacity.
Act as a key liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
What You Will Have:
Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
Software Integration Engineering: Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop and maintain interfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages.
Software Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
Strong understanding of enterprise digital platforms, preferably Adobe Experience Manager (Sites and Assets), Workfront, Target, or similar ecosystems.
Experience leading globally distributed teams and managing complex delivery portfolios.
Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Ability to balance hands‑on technical understanding with people leadership and delivery accountability.
Experience supporting large‑scale, mission‑critical digital platforms.
Background in agile delivery, DevOps, or platform operations.
Familiarity with cloud‑hosted Adobe services and enterprise integration patterns.
Travel is up to 20% to visit CAT Locations and attend meetings

Summary Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $240,110.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
