Description:You will be the Operations Engineer (Level 2) for the Production Operations – Tooling team. Our team supports tooling design and fabrication to enable internal customer missions.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Operations Engineer (Level 2) you will be responsible for coordinating cross‑functional activities that ensure high‑quality tool production and continuous process improvement.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate and collaborate daily with Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Production Planning, and leadership to align on tooling requirements.
- Review manufacturing documentation and develop clear work instructions for tool fabrication.
- Create manufacturing plans, perform make‑or‑buy analyses, and identify production risks.
- Lead process‑improvement projects that mature manufacturing and sell‑off processes for tooling.
- Support the development of quality metrics and ensure delivered tools meet customer specifications.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:- Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelors degree in a technical Engineering discipline
- Knowledge / Experience with SAP, Windchill, or Apriso MES.
- Manufacturing Support Experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Desired Skills:- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge and application of GD&T
- Experience with manufacturing and inspection processes
- Effective communication skills, including written, oral, listening and technical writing.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.
- Familiar with Computer Aided Design software.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
