Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Structures Design Engineer (Entry or Associate Level) to join our 787 Airframe Structures team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Entry-Level (Level 1) and Associate (Level 2) Structures Design Engineer.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assists with documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
Assists with development, maintenance and modification of payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Assists with tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Assists with management of supplier development, test and production activities to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Works under close supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
2+ years of experience with aircraft structural design
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience using CAD Tools
1+ years of experience with design of composite material systems
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Prior experience with manufacturing/production systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range Entry Level (Level 1): $71,400 – $96,600
Summary Pay Range Associate Level (Level 2): $85,000 - $115,000
