Description:Lockheed Martin Missile & Fire Control is looking for a motivated, results‑driven Manufacturing Skills Technical Trainer to join our skills training team. Our facility builds and assembles missiles, rockets, and military‑grade vehicles, and we need a dedicated trainer to design, deliver, and maintain technical instruction that empowers our workforce with the expertise required to produce these high‑performance defense systems.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Skills Trainer you will be responsible for administering and implementing technical skills training programs to ensure our production workforce has the necessary skills to excel in their roles. You will develop and deliver instructor‑led training, assess student progress, and manage training resources.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Preparing lesson plans and training materials
-Scheduling courses and delivering instructor‑led training
-Administering assessments and publishing reports
-Creating and modifying employee training plans
-Managing training resources, including facilities, equipment, and materials

Basic Qualifications:-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
-Proven success teaching technical concepts in aerospace or manufacturing settings
-Skilled at delivering hands‑on, demonstration‑based
instruction
-Strong mechanical aptitude for aerospace/industrial manufacturing assembly
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Desired Skills:-Clear written and verbal communication
-Strong presentation and student‑engagement skills
-Self‑sufficient, highly organized, and reliable
-Excellent time management in fast‑paced, multi‑priority settings
-Effective de‑escalation to keep learning environment calm and productive
-Riveting and fastener‑installation experience
-Safety‑wire application and inspection experience
-Practical experience with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
-Knowledge of torque specs, proper wrench use, and verification methods
-Forklift Operation

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
