New York City - New York - United States of America
About The Role
The Asset Manager M&A team offers advisory services to operators and fund managers within the alternative asset manager market, providing strategic advice at the manager level. We are situated within CBRE’s Investment Banking platform, which provides strategic advisory and capital markets services across private funds placement, private capital advisory, M&A, and equity & debt capital markets. The team leverages deep private markets expertise and relationships to help managers secure the right strategic partner. Every stage of the advisory / M&A process is covered: from shaping a compelling market story to facilitating introductions and driving successful transaction closings.
The CBRE Summer Analyst Program is an 8-week program in New York City designed to provide highly motivated undergraduate students with a hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions advisory. The program seeks driven individuals with the desire and ability to work on several projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment and to learn on the job.
The ideal Summer Analyst in the asset manager M&A vertical will primarily support each of the team members in execution of ongoing live transactions and origination of new business. This will involve weekly meetings with clients and internally, as well as financial analysis / research to be used in various capacities by the team. The types of transactions covered could involve M&A, majority and /or minority stake transactions, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. In this effort, the Summer Analyst will need to manage their time effectively. Though dedicated to the AM M&A team, the analyst should be able to help deliver the M&A product for clients of other CBRE verticals.
