Your software will take off and fly (and land). As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to a global team that will create high quality products that meet rigid safety and airworthiness standards for flight.
Our department continues to push the technology envelope for processing technologies in everything from operating systems to user applications and the middleware which binds these together.
What You Will Do:
- You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of flight-critical embedded software for military avionics displays supporting programs such as UH-60M Mosa, KC-390, SOA CAAS, MELB, and beyond.
- You will conduct engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
- You will assist in conducting disciplinary research on one or more stages of the equipment design phase to develop design options and recommendations.
- You will determine end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.
- You will assist an engineering team by organizing tasks, coordinating team efforts, asking questions, communicating status, raising issues, brainstorming ideas, helping others, practicing active listening, and promoting a collaborative environment.
