Program Summary
KBR Metrology supports Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, Garrett Advance Motion, and their supplier network with a full suite of measurement, calibration, and engineering services. Capabilities include onsite/offsite laboratory visits, test equipment calibration and repair, AMS2750 pyrometry services, metrology engineering, and equipment inspections. Additional services include preventative maintenance, equipment sourcing, CMM inspections, automation and programming, technical measurement support, calibration recall system management, and performance-tracking dashboards.
Job Summary
The Business Support Associate plays a key role in ensuring efficient program support across the global metrology platform. This position is responsible for coordinating logistics, managing procurement activities, supporting customer communication, tracking asset delivery, and maintaining accurate documentation of program commitments. The role supports the Market Manager through data analysis, workflow coordination, and adherence to established processes and supplier requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in implementing programs and processes to meet business goals with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Document costs and commitments and support effective communication with customers.
Adhere to standard work instructions and ensure quality throughout all processes.
Follow outsource vendor plans and comply with the Authorized Supplier List (ASL).
Coordinate with customers to meet logistics needs, schedules, and priorities.
Conduct pick‑up and delivery of measuring equipment between customers, employees, and management.
Prepare equipment for shipping, ensuring proper documentation and billing.
Identify and resolve logistics issues or escalate solutions to management when needed.
Manage all aspects of the procurement process, including:
payment of invoices,
determining correct payment pathways,
quoting, purchase requests, and invoice processing.
Meet with leadership to obtain purchase approvals.
Support coordination of internal and external goods and services to fulfill commitments.
Manage and communicate workflow requirements for asset delivery.
Collect, organize, and provide data in accordance with management system processes to maintain program, customer, and supplier status and compliance.
Perform monthly reviews and analysis of labor and non‑labor history to support the Market Manager.
Make process or operational recommendations based on findings.
Track and ensure completion of related action items.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must meet any specific contract requirements regarding education and experience.
U.S. Citizenship is required due to client requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in logistics, procurement, or business operations support.
Familiarity with metrology, calibration processes, or engineering support environments.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
Basic Compensation: CAD $32-36 an hour.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
