Job Description
The Supply Chain Program Manager plays a critical part in shaping and executing capacity and agility planning processes that enable profitable growth across business units.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and facilitation across business units and manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment on key capacity, agility, and planning processes. You will be instrumental in the development, governance, and execution of enterprise capacity and agility strategies, translating complex data into actionable insights that drive operational excellence across global supply networks.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical and analytical expertise, coupled with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead through collaboration. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution to continuously optimize planning processes, enhance network performance, and support long‑term business objectives.
What You Will Do:
Capacity Planning & Analysis
- Develop and maintain capacity models for manufacturing and distribution facilities.
- Analyze production constraints and recommend strategies to balance demand and supply.
- Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure alignment with S&OP processes.
Supply Chain Optimization
- Design and implement planning strategies to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
- Lead initiatives to transition from forecast-based planning to demand-driven models.
- Support network optimization projects, including storage systems and material flow improvements.
EPP Process Engagement
- Actively participate in the Enterprise Planning Process (EPP), preparing and presenting capacity planning insights and recommendations.
- Engage with senior leadership during EPP reviews to influence strategic decisions and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with manufacturing, procurement, and IT teams to integrate planning tools and processes.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Cross‑Functional Alignment & Collaboration
- Collaborates to lead to problem solving and the achievement of business goals.
- Establish shared goals to foster alignment across organizational lines.
- Ensures that cross functional teams can access the same data and process structure.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Background in supply chain planning or engineering, with a focus on capacity planning
- Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar OEM environments
- Proven success managing complex, large-scale projects
- Strong analytical ability to build capacity models and interpret data effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and advanced Excel for planning and reporting
- Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership
Skill You Will Need:
Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.
Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.

Summary Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
