Who we’re looking for
The Toyota Safety Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Safety & Environmental Analyst for our Chicago Parts Distribution Center, in Aurora, IL.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support 1st & 2nd shifts (8:30AM – 5:00PM) facility safety and environmental needs at the CHPDC through the administration of, and commitment to a comprehensive Safety and Environmental system and program.
The person in this role will support Toyota’s Safety and Environmental departments’ objective to promote and lead the implementation and sustainment of the Safety and Environmental programs.
What you’ll be doing
Safety
Collaborate with site management to implement and sustain employee safety programs to grow safety culture
Coordinate, deliver, and track Safety Trainings
Identify, anticipate, and act upon safety concerns, hazards, exposure, and unsafe practices
Prepare and complete monthly/annual safety reports (Safety Management System)
Participate in and support Enterprise Working Groups
Support incident investigation to quickly identify root cause and implement effective countermeasures
Manage industrial ergonomics program using industrial ergonomic software
Perform risk assessments for all processes throughout facility and implement safety controls to reduce risks
Environmental
Administrative
Interface with various SMS software (Incident reporting, Team Member concerns, etc.)
Develop and manage annual safety budget
Comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations- timely completion of EPA and OSHA compliance tasks
Prepare for and participates in facility audit inspections
Manage Floor Management Development System (FMDS) board to visually track activity & results of all safety programs and initiatives
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher, or 5+ years of equivalent professional work experience in a Safety role in an Industrial, Logistics or Manufacturing Environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Safety and Environmental Hazard Risk Assessment experience including applying assessments to production and/or working floor situations and utilizing data analysis to address and solve safety hazards (5 years required)
Experience auditing safety and environmental management systems, including regulatory policy compliance with regards to Environmental, Health and Safety (3 years required)
Experience conducting Safety and Environmental training such as OSHA forklift, warehouse storage, dock and yard safety or similar Safety Training
Added bonus if you have
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, or related
Safety related certifications such as ASP, CSP or similar
Toyota experience, working directly for Toyota or as a Contractor
FRAMP MILES experience associated with person/machine interaction and risk reduction (FRAMP = Forklift Delivery, Robot Cell Entry Point, AGV Delivery, Material Interaction, Pedestrian Exit Point/Intersections, MILES = Mobile, Interaction, Location, Evaluation, Sheet)
Ergo Vision experience associated with ergonomic burden relief and countermeasures
Intelex or Serenity software experience
The annual base salary range for this position is $77,000.00 - $125,100.00.Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan.
