This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
• Act as a primary Subcontract interface and work
together with your Subcontract Management Team
members to support your program.
• Interface with suppliers as the focal point between
the subcontractor/supplier and various LM
departments.
• Initiate the LM Acquisition process - solicit RFP's,
review supplier proposals, negotiate/administer
contracts, and manage supplier performance.
• Help develop subcontract specifications, statements
of work, and negotiate requirements and scope.
• Prevent and mitigate supplier cost, schedule, and
quality performance issues.
• Research and evaluate procurement sources and
qualification
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in in either Denver, CO , or Rocket City USA, one of the greatest places to work: Huntsville, AL , and be expected to work in the office Basic Qualifications:To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 5+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, proposal, and/or Category Management).
• 3+ years of experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) with a background in Government, commercial, and procurement/subcontracting practices in aerospace and defense.
• Demonstrated professional experience with complex subcontract/contracts, teamwork/team-building expertise, proven leadership, and negotiation skill sets.
• Previous professional experience interacting with all levels of the organization/program and building strong supplier relationships, strong relationships with IPT counterparts, and customers when required.
• Previous professional experience in developing and executing business/subcontract management strategies.
Desired Skills:To be effective, ideally, you should also have:• Experience with a wide range of contract types (FFP, Cost Plus, T&M, IDIQ Master Contracts)
• Experience supporting new business proposal activities
• Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven exceptional strategic communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
• Knowledge of the space systems industry, supply chain, and technologies necessary to develop and deliver next-generation payloads a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $69,900 - $123,280. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
