Sr. Account Receivables Representative
About your role:
As a Sr. Accounts Receivable Representative, you will collect and manage outstanding merchant receivables while delivering a consistent and professional experience. You will partner with merchants, internal operations, and finance teams to resolve delinquencies, negotiate payment arrangements, and ensure accurate account documentation. Your work helps protect revenue, reduce credit risk, and support healthy merchant relationships.
What you'll do:
Contact merchants by telephone in a call center environment, manually or using an automatic telephone dialing system, to address outstanding accounts.
Collect on past-due merchant accounts in compliance with applicable regulations and internal performance standards to meet or exceed individual and departmental goals.
Establish rapport with merchants, address objections, and negotiate appropriate payment arrangements to resolve delinquent balances.
Document all conversations, agreements, and actions in the designated tracking system or database with clear, accurate, and timely notes.
Confirm payment arrangements with merchants and clearly communicate next steps before completing each call.
Support special projects and initiatives related to collections, accounts receivable processes, or system enhancements as assigned.

Experience you'll need to have:
3+ years of experience in customer service in a collections, call center, sales, or similar high-volume contact environment.
Experience using computer systems and multiple applications simultaneously to research accounts, document actions, and provide accurate information to clients.
Strong verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner to effectively communicate with business owners and other merchant contacts.
Knowledge of applicable collections regulations or the ability to learn and apply regulatory requirements to daily work.
Demonstrated record of strong job stability and reliable performance in prior roles.
High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience in payment processor collections, bank collections, credit card collections, mortgage collections, medical collections, or commercial collections.
Experience meeting or exceeding defined collections metrics such as right-party contacts, promises to pay, and dollars collected.
Experience working with dialer systems or automated call distribution tools.
How you'll work:
This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range:
$40,800.00-$51,000.00
