The Manager of Product Optimization and Insights serves as a hands-on technical leader responsible for directly querying, manipulating, and analyzing large-scale enterprise data to support 3rd party PBM product programs. This role requires deep engagement with complex data warehouse environments (GCP focused), developing advanced SQL queries, validating multi-source datasets, and ensuring data accuracy across financial and clinical reporting.
This individual actively constructs and optimizes datasets, navigates complex multi-table schema, and perform root cause analysis to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for optimization. The Manager translates business requirements into technical data specifications, builds reporting solutions, and tests and validates new data pipelines to ensure integrity and reliability.
Through data exploration and advanced analysis, this role delivers actionable insights that inform product strategy, measure program impact, and support executive level decision making for enterprise wide known products. Success requires strong technical proficiency, independent problem solving, and ability to operate within a highly complex data environment.
To deliver against this role, the individual must
- Leverage advanced technical expertise in SQL, SAP, and GCP to investigate complex datasets and uncover insights that answer ambiguous business questions.
- Apply deep technical proficiency in data querying, database management, and statistical analysis to solve undefined business challenges.
- Effectively communicates program outcomes to key stakeholders and senior leaders, and works collaboratively with stakeholders to address methodologic and other questions effectively to a non technical audience.
Keeps track of necessary documents to capture and communicate key milestones and program financial and clinical outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years or more of relevant work experience
- Minimum 3 years of advanced data analysis skills, including experience with SQL, SAP, and GCP to complete analyses in complex data environments
- At least 3 years working with databases and large data sets
- Ability to translate stakeholders' requests into data analysis and to clearly communicate analytical needs and results. Must be able to determine the most critical data elements to include in reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the team and with other teams to gather inputs, overcome obstacles and share results.
- Must be able to identify implications of analyses, determine their impact on strategy and recommend a course of action.
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with the capacity to identify and readjust priorities as needed
- High level of independent judgment and initiative; must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Utilize advanced technical skills to uncover insights and answer complex undefined business questions
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Masters Degree preferred.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $132,600.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
