As a National Security Solutions – Computer Science Intern, you will:
- Build a Python-based pipeline that ingests requirement text (sanitized), scores it against rule sets (ambiguity, atomicity, verifiability), and produces dashboards
- Implement rules (e.g., weak words, passive voice) + simple ML classifier
- Create a scoring rubric and web dashboard (Streamlit/Dash)
- Export CSV/JSON for trace into models and test cases
- Dashboard and visualization development
- NLP and rule-based text analytics
Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
Required Skillset:
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Technical Related field.
- Proficient in Python, NLP (spaCy), regex, pandas, data viz; UX sensibility
- Experience collaborating in Git/GitLab
- Strong work ethics and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 40 hours per week, 10 weeks in duration during the period of Summer 2026
Requirement:
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Internship will be at the Beavercreek KBR office with the potential for some remote/hybrid work.
