Job Title: PMO Transformation Analyst
Role Overview
The PMO Transformation Analyst will support the assessment, redesign, and improvement of the client’s Project Management Office (PMO). This role will evaluate the current PMO against industry best practices, identify gaps, and help define a prioritized roadmap for improvement. The analyst will also translate PMO process and operating model changes into Planview PPM system requirements to support the client’s planned implementation by year-end.
Key Responsibilities: PMO Assessment & Gap Analysis
- Conduct current-state PMO assessments across governance, processes, roles, and tools.
- Compare the existing PMO against industry best practices and exemplar models.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities through stakeholder interviews and documentation review.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Future-State PMO Design
- Support development of the future-state PMO operating model, including governance, processes, and roles.
- Prioritize improvement opportunities and help develop a phased implementation roadmap.
- Provide practical recommendations aligned with organizational readiness.
Organizational Change Support
- Assess organizational impacts of PMO changes.
- Support development of change artifacts such as role definitions and process ownership.
- Partner with stakeholders to align PMO improvements with broader organizational goals.
Planview PPM Requirements
- Translate PMO process changes into Planview PPM functional requirements.
- Support requirements related to portfolio, demand, reporting, and governance capabilities.
- Help ensure alignment between the future-state PMO design and Planview functionality.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience conducting PMO assessments and gap analyses.
- Strong understanding of PMO operating models and governance structures.
- Experience translating business processes into PPM system requirements.
- Familiarity with Planview PPM capabilities.
- Strong facilitation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting PMO transformations or enterprise change initiatives.
- Consulting or advisory experience related to PMO or portfolio management.
