As a member of the Software Product Operations team, you will work across the organization to drive operational excellence across our strategy-to-execution ecosystem for the Product
Owner/Experience organization, ensuring teams prioritize the right work, execute consistently and deliver measurable outcomes aligned to our US Retail Markets (USRM) vision and goals.
The Director, Portfolio Management & Operations leads the Portfolio Management and Operations within USRM's Software Product Operations team. Accountable for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in how product strategy is executed, including leading the Quarterly Rebalancing & Prioritization (QRP) process, optimizing intake and prioritization, supporting cross-team alignment, and ensuring delivery efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:
QRP Process Leadership:
- Own the design, facilitation, and continuous improvement of the Quarterly Rebalancing & Prioritization process.
- Ensure transparent, outcome-driven tradeoff discussions and documentation
Business Priority & Investment Intake & Prioritization:
- Oversee centralized intake, Business Priority & portfolio review, prioritization, and capacity planning across all business priorities.
- Implement and maintain effective tooling and artifact standards for roadmaps, intake, OKRs, and reporting.
Product Delivery Lifecycle Efficiency:
- Continuously assess and improve operational bottlenecks, handoffs, dependencies, and delivery timelines from ideation to launch.
- Lead retrospectives and drive adoption of best practices for portfolio and program management.
Governance & Cross-Team Alignment:
- Serve as the main point of contact for delivery governance, ensuring portfolio decisions align with business architecture and strategic goals.
- Partner with business architecture, product enablement, and project management to support strategy-to-execution connection.
- Create clarity for Software Product Ops Project Management support needed.
Stakeholder Management:
- Foster strong partnerships with portfolio leaders, engineering, business, and experience teams.
- Regularly communicate portfolio health, priorities, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and value stream mapping among other process tools.
- Experience working with technology.
- Strong ability to understand linkages between strategy and technology and/or integrating technology with business strategy.
- Ability to establish and build effective relationships across the organization.
- Strong ability to select, develop, and engage staff, and to foster a collaborative environment.
- Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in a collaborative and creative way.
- Ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely to technical and business leaders.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
