The Boeing Company is looking for Flight Control System Design Engineers to support the V-22 Flight Control Systems team in Ridley Park, PA. The selected candidate will work with a variety of complex and challenging systems. This includes working within the team to design, test, and coordinate the overall integration of flight controls related capabilities onto the V-22 platform.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop architectures and interfaces to integrate flight controls and related subsystems on to the V-22 platform
Work with customers to develop and document software, electronic and electrical system requirements
Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Identify opportunities to improve the system performance and maintenance
Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Monitor subcontractor design, development, integration, testing and delivery of hardware, software and systems
Support V-22 Flight Test
Support V-22 operations during production integration and test of the V-22 flight control system
Field and respond to customer hardware and software concerns
Travel: Less than 10%
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): (See education & experience required below)
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
1+ years experience managing technical aspects of project/program
1+ years engineering experience with hardware and/or software products, including hardware and/or software testing in a lab environment with target components
1+ years of work experience with a supplier in a collaborative technical capacity
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
(Level 2) - Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience or Master’s or (Level 3) - Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience or Master’s and 3+ years or (Level 4) - Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years’ experience or Master’s and 7+ years
MATLAB Simulink Experience
Flight Controls Engineering Experience on a fixed wing, rotary, or rocket-propelled vehicle system
Program lifecycle experience from requirements generation all the way through flight test

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
Level 4
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (Level 2): $98,600- $133,400
Summary pay range (Level 3): $119,850 - $162,150
Summary pay range (Level 4): $146,200 - $197,800
