Description:You will be the Systems Engineer Staff, Project Lead for the Simulation and System Labs (SSL) which is responsible for designing, procuring, developing, testing, and sustaining aircraft flight simulation systems as well as integrating and testing aircraft software, systems, and subsystems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Systems Engineer Staff, Project Lead you will be responsible for leading the project management of the F‑35 Simulation and System Labs (SSL) Simulation Development team, serving both internal and external Lockheed Martin customers. You will guide proposals, schedules, costs, and technical scope to support integration and testing of operational flight software across multiple contracts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead daily project activities.
- Mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.
- Communicate project progress to all levels of leadership.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

• Bachelor's degree or higher in related field from an accredited college or university.
Desired Skills:• Experience in the contracting life-cycle processes (RFP, BOEs, negotiation).
• Experience with simulation systems.
• Team leadership experience.
• Technical degree preferred.
• Control Account Manager Experience.
• CAM Certification or PMI/PMP Certification.
• Strong EVM knowledge/experience with appropriate applications/execution tools.
• Familiarity with the F-35 Mission Systems domain.
• Previous experience on Advanced Development Programs.
• Experience in estimating technical development tasks.
• Experience with LM capital and IT management process.
• Previous Risk and Opportunity Management development and tracking experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
