About the Role
Supervises and schedules the shipping and receiving processes to ensure efficient handling, storage, transportation,and delivery of shipments and goods.
What You Will Do
- Analyzing existing shipping processes, identifying existing gaps or pain points, and contributing to the improvement of existing processes or the development of new ones.
- Managing the assignment and scheduling of shipment-related activities based on priorities and storage requirements.
- Reporting any non-compliance and sharing them with their seniors.
- Measuring and improving performance of transportation suppliers and team
- Supervising the material handling or shipment workers and collaborating with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth flow and prompt delivery of shipments and goods.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree related to a Supply Chain field of choice
- Fluent English (Advanced)

- Accurate use of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to ensure correct data and traceability.

- Analysis of shipping processes to detect gaps, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Evaluation of transportation supplier performance through metrics, KPIs, and operational data.
- Application of structured methodologies such as Six Sigma (Green Belt) to optimize processes.
- Identification of root causes and creation of alternative solutions based on data and logic.
Continuous Transformation
- Contribution to the development of new processes and continuous improvement of existing ones.
- Implementation of optimization practices to increase operational efficiency.
- Promotion of quality standards and sustainable improvement within the logistics and transportation area.
- Application of a transformation mindset to adapt operations to government requirements and global market updates.
Data Gathering & Analysis
- Collection and analysis of key information for managing and scheduling transportation activities.
- Interpretation of data to improve logistics flows and team performance.
- Use of digital tools and TMS to consolidate, validate, and evaluate operational information.
- Preparation of compliance reports, non‑conformities, and performance metrics.
Problem Solving
- Recognition, anticipation, and resolution of operational, organizational, or process issues.
- Informed decision‑making to resolve shipping incidents, delays, or deviations.
- Implementation of corrective actions aligned with government policies and international logistics standards.
- Effective management of conflicts or obstacles in coordination with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Results Orientation
- Prioritization of activities based on operational needs and storage requirements.
- Direct supervision of personnel to ensure compliance with timelines, standards, and delivery commitments.
- Focus on generating measurable results in supplier performance, transportation costs, and cycle times.
- Accountability for maintaining flow and ensuring on‑time delivery across the logistics chain.
Transportation
- Strong knowledge of transportation to move materials between suppliers, distribution centers, plants, and customers.
- Management of import and export activities considering global regulations.
- Solid understanding of current government requirements in transportation.
- Effective coordination with operational teams and external partners to ensure continuous freight flow.
- Leadership in logistics environments with more than 7–10 years in Supply chain roles.
- Ability to communicate effectively in advanced English
Desirable requirements for candidates:
- 6 Sigma Black Belt Training
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office tools and MRP Systems.
- Strong analytical skills
- Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department.

Location: Santa Maria.
This position works Monday through Friday and remote work is not available.
