Senior Digital Project Manager – Content Supply Chain Project Manager

Job Summary:
As Senior Digital Project Manager, you will oversee project management, planning, and organization to enable the implementation and rollout of our Content Supply Chain (CSC) processes and tools across all global business units through the enterprise. You will own day‑to‑day project coordination across the Engineering and Product teams, including building and maintaining project plans and leading regular status and stakeholder communications. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking all tasks, dependencies, and risks to ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and in line with agreed timelines and roadmaps.
Working closely with the Content Systems Product Manager and the CSC Program Manager, you will ensure that implementation plans, timelines, and deliverables stay aligned with the approved business strategy and governance model. By delivering clear, user-friendly solutions that increase adoption and lower operational costs, you will enable our business partners to reach their marketing goals more efficiently.
What You Will Do:
Oversee end-to-end delivery and manage daily operations and activities of the Digital Marketing projects specific to Content Supply Chain including project scope, responsibilities, timelines, and dependencies.
Own risk management for all project variables by identifying risks, tracking them throughout the project lifecycle, and implementing contingency and mitigation plans.
Direct and motivate cross functional teams including marketing, business units, engineering, vendors, and agencies.
Evaluate and manage deliverables to ensure business, brand, and performance expectations are defined, achievable, and met.
Monitor project outcomes for significant deviations in schedule, ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes.
Track and report overall project progress and delivery health, using schedules, roadmaps, scorecards, and dashboards.
Lead stakeholder communication and expectation management across marketing, product groups, engineering, and leadership.
Collaborate closely with the CSC Program Manager to align communication, training, and change management needs.
Support and enable team adoption of project management tools and practices.
What You Will Have:
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Project Administration: Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).
IT Project Control and Reporting: Knowledge of project control and reporting; ability to monitor the vital signs of an IT project while managing its progress and delivery schedule.
IT Project Management: Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
Extreme knowledge of project management practices and structured decision-making approaches.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
Ability to gather and analyze potential impacts using structured methods and provide consultative guidance that supports continued progress.
Previous experience with planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling initiatives using organizational strategies, modern delivery frameworks, and project management tools.
Ability to analyze complex scenarios and distinguish assumptions, perspectives, and historical data to make sound recommendations.
Strong interest in supporting governance, compliance, and process standardization.
Detail oriented, well organized, and accountable, with the ability to maintain accuracy and consistency across multiple projects.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and functions.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capability to handle sensitive, emotional, or potentially controversial situations effectively, particularly during periods of change management.
PMP certification
Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) or Content Management Systems (CMS) and the Adobe Marketing Products (Workfront, Frame.io, AEM Assets, and Firefly Services).
Demonstrated ability to stay positive and encouraging when strategy or roadmap shifts create new challenges for project members.
Formal change management training or certification and experience acting as a change manager.
Substantial experience in marketing operations and content creation with a deep understanding of marketing workflows and content lifecycle.
Solid understanding of Caterpillar policies, standards, procedures, business model, and marketing strategies.
Proficiency in project and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, MS Project, Adobe Workfront, Aha!, and MS Office 365 Suite.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with a global team across multiple different business units.

Summary Pay Range:
$108,318.00 - $169,060.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
