About the Role
This role will develop and lead high‑impact communications teams that drive growth, build reputation, activate employees culture and business transformation, and deliver meaningful societal impact across J&J MedTech’s cardiovascular portfolio.
J&J MedTech’s global cardiovascular businesses—including electrophysiology, heart recovery, circulatory restoration, and neurovascular—touch the lives of millions of patients each year. This role is accountable for communications strategy, talent development and performance across all key stakeholders, including customers and healthcare professionals, employees, investors, policymakers, media, suppliers, and patient communities.
The Vice President will lead teams delivering integrated, multi-stakeholder communications, including internal communications and change management; external communications and media relations; brand and marketing communications; public affairs and policy engagement; investor and financial communications; issues and crisis management; digital and social communications; community engagement; and patient advocacy.
Key business partners include the Company Group Chair of Electrophysiology & Neurovascular and the Group Presidents of Heart Recovery and Circulatory Restoration. Reporting to the Global Head of MedTech Communications & Public Affairs, this role sits on the MT CPA leadership team and serves as a trusted advisor to multiple business leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
Create measurable business value—across commercial growth, brand reputation, employee engagement, and transformation—through strategic stakeholder activation
Lead, inspire, and develop collaborative, high performing global communications teams
Promote approved products and build momentum for a pipeline of advanced cardiovascular technologies through integrated marketing communications
Build, protect, and enhance reputation through media relations, executive thought leadership, public affairs, and financial communications
Translate complex business strategies and transformation initiatives into clear, compelling employee communications that drive understanding and action
Lead communications through significant change and ambiguity, supporting a rapid pace of transformation
Set a clear vision for team focus, priorities, and desired impact
Deliver results in a highly matrixed, global environment with complex stakeholder interdependencies
Build digital first, data backed communications channels and campaigns
Champion patient advocacy and storytelling with a genuine passion for improving lives
Partner closely with senior leaders to shape and execute integrated, strategic communications plans
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
15+ years of experience in strategic communications, brand marketing, or related disciplines
10+ years of experience leading, developing, and managing high performing teams
Proven expertise across corporate, internal, external, brand, and public affairs communications
Experience serving as a senior communications leader on a cross functional business leadership team within a global organization
Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated, multi-audience communications strategies
Strong track record of building trusted, influential partnerships with senior executives
Extensive experience managing complex, high-risk, high visibility communications issues
Proven ability to lead global teams through transformation and ambiguity
MedTech, cardiovascular, or B-2-B experience in a highly regulated industry preferred
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$199,000.00 - $366,850.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
