About The Role
As a CBRE Communications Sr. Manager, you will develop and deliver high-profile internal and external communication programs and initiatives.
This job is part of the Communications job function. They are responsible for developing internal and external communications that are related to organizational values, strategy, performance, and others.
What You’ll Do
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Create and deliver strategic messaging and content across a variety of internal communications channels. This includes executive communications, email, newsletters, etc.
- Partner with internal and external management and key stakeholders to deliver overall client-facing messaging, large-scale events, investor presentations, etc.
- Direct all communication-related items and create multi-channel communication plans.
- Point of contact for Public Relations support, maintain media relationships and approve press releases prior to distribution.
- Help with the management and execution of social media accounts and content.
- Drive the development of metrics and reporting. Track engagement with content and reports on analytics.
- Guide the delivery of national and global communications plans and programming in support of the business and internal departments.
- Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
- Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
- Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Working knowledge of SharePoint.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
