Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a supply chain professional to join our global team in the role of Global S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Manager, this role is focused on our Enclosed Power Solutions and Switchgear. Our business is growing rapidly, and we require oversight of all planning areas of our business. This role will be front and center of the Large Electric Power solutions business.
This role will be responsible for managing the Global S&OP process for our custom power solutions and switchgear products in Large Electric Power Solutions focused on containerized solutions products. This role requires the person to work across multiple manufacturing facilities both internal and external to CAT and internally across numerous functional areas.
What You Will Do:
The S&OP process manager will work to integrate demand, supply, and financial planning into a forward thinking plan based on input from the organization’s key functional areas, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, and finance. S&OP links strategic plans to operational plans and strives to develop the most beneficial production plan along with strategic planning for time periods outside of the execution window. This role will manage supply response communications across 3 internal facilities and 10+ external manufacturing facilities.
Coordinating demand planning, network optimization, and capacity planning across different departments and regions.
Analyzing the quality and accuracy of forecasts and taking corrective actions if needed.
Analyzing and solving business problems with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities.
Developing and utilizing statistical modeling to drive decision-making.
Liaising with operational management teams on all matters related to resource planning.
Ownership of cadence and processes that run on a strict schedule, the outcome of the process will be communicated to senior leaders within Large Electric Power.
What You Will Have:
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Extensive knowledge and understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Analytical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Working knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.
Data Gathering & Analysis: Working knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Planning and Organizing: Working knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
What will set you apart:
Detailed S&OP experience, managing multiple data inputs and being able to succinctly provide accurate and detailed responses
Detailed knowledge of ERP systems and Caterpillar internal ordering systems, this role must understand who forecast is transposed into real demand
Data manipulation and presentation skills, driving the team and processes forward to accommodate huge growth

This position can be located in Griffin, GA, Alpharetta, GA, Peoria, IL, or Lafayette, IN
This role requires 5-days a week on-site attendance
10% or less travel expected

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
