Overview
Microsoft’s Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) organization seeks an experienced legal professional to join the legal team supporting Marketing as Paralegal. As Paralegal you will serve as the frontline legal partner for Microsoft Events and Azure Integrated Marketing and support the broader Commercial Cloud and Monetization legal team across a range of commercial matters to help marketing leaders bring campaigns, narratives and experiences to life. A successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can translate legal requirements into clear and actionable guidance, and bring operational discipline to fast-moving marketing programs. You’ll also help modernize how we work—adopting and improving tools (including AI-enabled workflows) that simplify intake, increase consistency, and improve how we deliver support at scale.

Responsibilities
- You will ensure complex business materials and programs are compliant with applicable laws and Microsoft internal policies, and help prepare reports and materials for department activities. You’ll also maintain your knowledge of Microsoft’s business, processes, and policies, and train legal specialists and paralegals.
- You will develop, learn the use of, and evangelize others to adopt company tools, databases, and processes to efficiently achieve your work objectives, while recommending improvement opportunities. You’ll also set work priorities and recommend revisions where needed.
- You will make recommendations and provide support to clients on complex legal matters, as well as conduct meetings with attorneys and business clients. You’ll also develop and propose client solutions to the attorney and prepare presentations.
- You will lead and be accountable for various projects inside and outside of your practice group. You’ll also recommend new programs of processes in order to meet changing business needs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in Paralegal, Legal Administration, or relevant experience
- OR Paralegal Certification that meets the requirements for the location of work AND 5+ years experience in Paralegal, Legal Administration, or relevant experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in Paralegal, Legal Administration, or relevant experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years relevant in-house, legal service provider, and/or law firm experience.
- 5+ years experience in a technology industry environment.
Paralegal IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $152,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $101,000 - $166,900 per year.
