Description:You will be the Maintenance Carpenter for the Carpentry Team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑quality finish carpentry, custom furniture, and structural woodwork throughout Lockheed Martin facilities.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Maintenance Carpenter you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, fabricating wood components, and installing finished carpentry solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Construct, alter, and repair office partitions, cabinets, doors, windows, and custom furniture.
- Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to develop accurate work plans.
- Select appropriate materials, create work‑holding fixtures, and fabricate components using shapers and other woodworking tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and safely operate mobile equipment for material handling.
- Identify dimensional errors, recommend substitute materials, and ensure final installations meet quality standards.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:• High school degree or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of carpentry training
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure and blue prints.
• Knowledge of door mechanisms, locks, and cabinetry.
• Familiarity with the following: Mechanical Saws, Drills, Planers, Joiners, Radial Saws, and Hand Power equipment
• Must be able to work on 1st or 2nd shifts as defined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Due to the full access of the facility that this role would require, all candidates must be U.S. citizens
Desired Skills:• Proven Customer Service
• Cabinetry experience
• Framing experience
• Experience with blueprints and construction drawings

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
