Onsite - This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Arlington on a full-time basis.
The Role:
As a Crew Leader, you will lead and direct manufacturing plant operations. Exercise a substantial amount of creativity, perception, and initiative with a significant latitude for independent judgment and action. Manage a large group of hourly and salaried employees over a single shift supporting all the Assembly shops (Stamping, Body, Paint, GA, Materials, and Quality). You will have immediate responsibility over people leaders in manufacturing operations, and the execution of plant business processes. Assure that organizational or divisional production objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements. This position will rotate between 2nd and 3rd shift.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities):

Responsible for meeting production schedules and quality metrics, as well as meeting departmental/plant budget.

Develop and drive a safety culture within the plant.

Manage day to day operations at the facility and coordinate activities within or across plant departments.

Coaches, trains, develops and evaluates salaried teams to achieve Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environmental metrics.

Leads through teaching GMS operating requirements and serves as GMS principal lead for the shift.

Works closely with all departments within, and outside of, the manufacturing production team and maintains strong relationships with other plants and external customers.

Participates in the selection of salaried people leaders to effectively perform operations.

Maintains corporate and unit management control systems, budget and other information necessary to monitor performance.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Ability to rotate between 2nd and 3rd shift.

5 years of people leader experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience managing salaried employees.
-
Proficient in GMS and BPD.

Proficient in quality systems.

Knowledge of Workplace Safety Systems.

Extensive knowledge of labor relations/national labor agreements.
