About the Team
Our People Consultant Team supports our Workmates across the Americas as part of the broader Talent Services organization. We are looking for an eager and motivated person to come join our team. The People Consultant team works directly with leaders and employees to provide performance coaching, guidance, and support. We regularly partner across various teams to develop policies/processes, use data to drive decision making, and are a trusted advisor to the business.
About the Role
Workday is looking for a Manager of People Consulting to help drive our Americas People Consulting practice as part of the broader People Operations organization. You will partner directly with leaders in both the business and our People & Purpose organization to define and lead our consultative support strategy for the employee life cycle. You will lead a team o People Consultants and Accommodations Program Manager through the next phase of growth and scale as we continue to evolve our consultative services and employee relations strategy.
You will use your knowledge and experience to help guide the team through the development of policies and processes, employee relations matters, and help the team align to our core objectives. About You
Basic Qualifications
Coach, mentor and develop a subset of People Consultants using deep subject matter expertise in the areas of performance management, conflict resolution, employee relations and HR policy/compliance.
Analyze support trends, generate data insights and develop solutions to better support our Workmates (including training and intervention strategies based on support trends)
Work closely with various People & Purpose teams to solve gaps and implement solutions related to policy, process, efficiency and automation
Partner with COE and People Partner organizations to seamlessly support cyclical processes including performance enablement, calibration, and compensation planning
Complete ad-hoc projects, reporting and tasks as the need arises with cross-functional HR / Partner teams and COEs, working on or leading projects/programs
Think global, partner with international peers in People Consulting and Employee Relations to drive a global community of people consulting practices
Engage as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert to coach employees and managers on sensitive work-related issues related but not limited to conflict resolution, performance management, interpretation of company policy, culture and values, and make recommendations to help resolve complex and unique employment related issues
Strategic leader responsible for the continued development and global scaling of the accommodations function, ensuring equitable and effective support for all employees.
7+ years of relevant experience working in employee relations, HR generalist or HR business partner role

Strong project/program management skills
Demonstrate effective influencing skills to provide resolution to complex and highly sensitive employee issues
Ability to work independently and be part of a team environment while developing strong professional relationships with peers, managers, executives and cross-functional teams
Exceptional communication and cross-functional relationship management skills
Data obsessed, strong critical thinking and analytical capability - ability to use data to influence and drive decisions
Deep customer empathy and a strong passion for delivering exceptional employee experience
Experience at a hyper-growth technology organization is strongly preferred

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $126,400 USD - $189,600 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $120,100 USD - $213,200 USD
